Diploma in Exercise and Sports Sciences Program (Dip ESS)

The Diploma in Exercise and Sport Sciences (Dip ESS) is a post-baccalaureate program designed for non-HMS-related degree holders who intend to take physical education or exercise and sport science as another area of specialization. This 39-unit coursework comprises 18 units of compulsory courses and 21 units of qualified electives. DESS students are required to complete the program in three (3) years with a general weighted average (GWA) of 2.00 or better. Successful completion of the DESS program qualifies an individual to proceed to the MSHMS program.

Master of Science in Human Movement Science (MS HMS)

The Master of Science in Human Movement Science (MS HMS) is a post-graduate degree program for the advanced professional preparation of Human Movement Science specialists. This 39-unit discipline-based and research-oriented curriculum aims to equip its graduates with skills of critical inquiry and research for the advancement of knowledge and practice in Human Movement Science. Students may choose from one of the three areas of specialization: Exercise Science, Leisure Studies, or Physical Education. Students are required to finish the program in 3-5 years with a general weighted average (GWA) of 2.000 or better. Graduates of this program take leadership roles in the community, educational institutions, health and wellness industry, and professional sports, or pursue higher studies in the field.
