Ralph is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Sports Science, University of the Philippines Diliman, where he has been a faculty member since 2010. His academic and research work primarily focuses on sport management and elite sport policy, particularly in the context of developing nations. In 2018, he began his PhD research at the research unit Sport & Society of the Department of Movement and Sport Sciences at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Veerle de Bosscher. His doctoral research examines the relationship between national contexts and elite sport policy factors that influence international sporting success, with a special focus on less developed nations, including the Philippines. Ralph holds a Master’s degree in Sport Management and Health Promotion from the University of Jyväskylä, Finland, which he completed in 2015.
In addition to his academic work, Ralph serves as the President of the Philippine Floorball Association and as Vice President of the Asia Oceania Floorball Confederation.
