Cate is an Assistant Professor at the College of Human Kinetics, University of the Philippines Diliman. She holds a Master of Science in Human Movement Science with a specialization in Leisure Studies and a Bachelor of Physical Education degree from the same institution, where she also earned a Certificate in Sports Studies. Her research focuses on Philippine Games, Positive Youth Development, leisure and recreation, and well-being through physical activity. She integrates these interests into her teaching, fostering meaningful engagement, self-discovery, and holistic development among her students.
